The dog’s best friend has nothing enticing to do during this quarantine period. These ones decided to give their dogs a new look. However, not everything went according to plans, as the poor dogs now look like homeless animals or shaggier than before. Read the hilarious stories below, they will make you understand the need for proper animal grooming!
1. From a Fluffy Dog to a Scary Chinchilla
The dog had a well-grown fur before grooming. It needed a retouch to trim it to a sizable level. However, the owner took the statement literally and shaved the puppy head to toe. The result is a puppy that seems rained on or whose fur was plucked randomly.
2. A “Lady” Dog
What would have been simple grooming of Trevor turned out to be an expensive look that did not fit the bill. Though classy and unique, the concept did not sit well with the dog, who might be confused for… a woman.
3. Clean Shave Gone Wrong
From a fluffy and chubby dog to an unkempt little puppy with a funny hair-do. Though the fur white as expected, the shave was haphazard. The shaved forehead resembled an old lady’s hairstyle.
4. The Unbalanced Face
The art of grooming factors in symmetrical, moderation, and accuracy, especially to bodily features. That is clearly not the case of our dog! Although he looked kempt, his eyes looked bigger than usual, without mentioning the unbalanced forehead.
5. The Dog With a Moustache
All the fur from our dog was nicely done, except for the areas around the mouth. This quarantine haircut makes the dog not proportional to say the least; big head on a small body. The fur around the mouth makes the nose appear like popping out.
6. A Rabbit Puppy
The fluffy and adorable puppy now looks like a rabbit. The ears are popping due to unmatched grooming while the fur needs a redo. It seems lost, untamed, and unkempt. It explains why a professional shave can change the appearance, however much you try!
7. A Lion Puppy
Animal grooming gives the dog a fresh and younger look. However, our puppy stepped out with unkempt fur on its neck, just like a lion. The difference between the body and the face makes one wonder if the groomers watched The Lion King one time too many!
8. The Round Face
From a proportional and furry dog to a round face, jackal-looking dog. Dog number 8 round face made his face look surprised; definitely a quarantine hair cut gone wrong. He had to wear a tag for us not to confuse him with a stray dog.
9. Naked Puppy
The groomer made sure all the fur on the puppy was taken down. Save for the hair on its head, it would go unnoticed. The final result is a young body on a mature head.
10. Scattered Burns
The hair had grown well on the dog. Although too much, it had a good posture, just until he was groomed. Now the body looks like it has scattered burns all over! If someone is seeing the dog for the first time, he or she might think the dog is either lost, malnourished or burnt!
11. Mohawk and Lion King Dogs
The haircuts were meant to create impressions but ended up creating a headline. Our first puppy is more naked than attractive, especially on its lower side. The second one, whose groomer wanted to portray a lion, ended up rendering the dog naked.
12. Chicken Dog
The haphazard grooming depicted the puppy as garnished, crispy chicken thighs. The furs were erroneously shaven, with high and low bumps on the skin. It needs shaving now more than before. This quarantine haircut gives more work than needed!
13. Grace to Grass
It requires a lot of imagination to figure out that the dog on the left picture is the same one! The body shave is neither proportional nor objective. The fur on the legs isn’t correctly done, same as the ears shave.
14. Ballerina Dog
Its description seems contradictory, but it is what it is. Shaving the whole middle body and leaving the head, tail, and legs makes the dog look like… A performer. It may look cute, but if the dog isn’t trained as a performer, this effort will go to waste.
15. Dog with a Coat
The groomer might have stopped his work midway, or wanted to try something different. The result is a dog that looks like putting on a coat, or worse still a rugged mat. The forehead is just out of touch.
16. Handpicked or Plucked
The only part that makes one understand that this is the same puppy is the forehead. The fur on the underbelly seems handpicked or forcefully plucked. The hair on the toes wasn’t properly trimmed. The ears look like they’ve been dipped in water.
17. Sheep in a Dog’s Skin
From a fluffy cute puppy to a merino look-alike dog. The ears look protruding with slender legs and bigger eyes compared to the former before the shave. For someone trying animal grooming for the first time, it is a nice try.
18. Woollen Shave
It takes a keen eye to notice that this is a puppy and not a dog doll. If this quarantine shave was allowed to conclude, the trial would have been successful. She just shaved where he could see, leaving the places that need more attention bushy.
19. Nice Try
If the trimmer tried this one more time, he or she would perfect the art. From an excellent bathe to a somewhat balanced shaving, the dog looks perplexed, but fairer compared to the preceding examples. The groomer should focus on balancing the shaving machine.
20. Stallion Puppy
Such kind of shaving either improve the appearance or create a “beast.” Shaving off some parts to make the dog resemble another animal is cool, but ensure the fur resembles the animal’s colour. This quarantine haircut would be perfect if the hair were smoothened.
21. Objective Shave
The trimming was well balanced, and although there were some exaggerations, this quarantined tried. If the real animal groomer were to come to rate this work, he would have little to say.
22. Jumper On
Shaving half the body and part of the face is a daring try, especially to a dark coloured dog. Moreover, the shave is not as smooth as it should. If the dog were to say something after this shave, that would be “Thank you, but no thanks.”
23. Pinching
It cannot be categorised as a shave. There is little difference before and after, and after the shave, save for the fur around the neck. It is suitable for a start before the actual groomer comes in.
24. Unkempt Shave
There is no visible haircut on this dog, save for the unkemptness being the haircut.
25. Naked Puppy 2
The groomer concentrated on the lower part of the body, leaving the head unattended. The result is a dog that looks naked with a shabby moustache and unkempt fur. This quarantine should end already!
